Back Fishguard Town Centre

Local Liberal Democrats have a clear plan to support local shops, protect jobs and help secure the progress made in revitalising our town.

Small businesses make our town centre special, and need our help in facing the cost of living crisis. That's why the Welsh Lib Dems are fighting for a banking hub to bring bank services back to Fishguard, and a cut in VAT for pubs, cafes and restaurants to ease pressure on hospitality and reduce prices for customers.

Local business owner and Lib Dem campaigner Caleb Churchill said: “Our town centre has bounced back well after Covid, but I know too many local shop owners are finding it hard to keep afloat. I'm fighting to attract more people into our town centre and bring down prices for local people.”

"I'm supporting the Welsh Liberal Democrats campaign to back Fishguard Town Centre by fixing unfair business rates, cutting VAT for hospitality, and bringing back bank services."
